Bobbi & Tom: The sweetest day at Priory Hall

There are so many ways to describe this special day with Bobbi and Tom: magical, romantic, fun - but most of all, it was full of sweet moments that will forever live on through their wedding photos.

From the moment I arrived to photograph Bobbi on the morning of the wedding, I knew it was going to be a celebration where every part of the day was centred around the people they love most.

There was such a lovely atmosphere as Bobbi got ready alongside her four bridesmaids, who looked gorgeous in dusky blue dresses, and her mum, who wore a corsage pinned to her jacket to match Bobbi's bouquet. Everyone was excited and emotional but also invested in making sure the morning felt calm and joyful for Bobbi.

Photographing the first look with Bobbi and her bridal party

One of my favourite moments happened before we even left for the church.

Instead of waiting for a reveal at the ceremony, Bobbi chose to share a first look with her bridesmaids and dad. Walking down the stairs with her mum before being greeted by everyone waiting below brought so many happy tears. It's a moment that's often over in seconds, yet means so much to everyone involved.

I always encourage couples to consider a reveal like this if it feels right for them. Weddings move incredibly quickly, and there are so many emotions happening all at once that you often don't get to fully take everything in. Having these moments photographed means you can look back afterwards and see the genuine reactions, the tears, the smiles and the little expressions that you may never have noticed while living the moment itself. They're such precious memories to revisit.

Wedding photography in Suffolk: St Peter's Church, Stutton

The ceremony took place at the beautiful St Peter's Church in Stutton, where Bobbi and Tom officially became husband and wife, surrounded by family and friends who couldn't have looked happier for them.

Afterwards, everyone climbed aboard the most wonderful vintage wedding omnibus for the journey to Priory Hall. It was such a unique way to travel between venues and immediately set the tone for the relaxed, joyful afternoon ahead.

A fun-filled wedding reception at Priory Hall, Hadleigh

Priory Hall reveals backdrop after beautiful backdrop around every corner. Tucked away in the heart of Suffolk's Constable Country, its Tudor buildings are surrounded by sweeping lawns, orchards, a peaceful lake, a knot garden with its fountain, elegant terraces and hidden corners that are just made for romantic photographs.

As a photographer, it's an absolute dream.

Rather than feeling rushed from one photograph to the next, Bobbi and Tom spent most of the afternoon exactly as they wanted to: chatting with guests, laughing with friends and soaking up every second of their wedding day.

That's something I absolutely love to see. The photographs become so much more meaningful when couples are really present in their day rather than feeling like they're constantly being pulled away from it.

When the timing felt right, I gently whisked them away for a few quiet moments together. Away from the excitement and the conversations, it suddenly became just the two of them.

We wandered around the beautiful grounds together, chatting as we explored different corners of the venue. They were completely relaxed, constantly making each other laugh, smiling without even realising it and simply enjoying being together. Their happiness just radiated naturally through every photograph.

The personal touches throughout the day were equally lovely. Guests enjoyed giant Connect 4 on the lawn while chatting in the sunshine, and each table at the wedding breakfast featured childhood photographs of Bobbi and Tom standing proudly in little frames.

Their wedding cake was another favourite detail of mine: a beautiful tiered design decorated with delicate pressed edible flowers, complete with tiny fondant versions of their beloved dog and cat sitting beside an even smaller fondant replica of the cake itself. It perfectly reflected their personalities and made everyone smile.

Golden hour wedding photos

As the evening arrived and the speeches came to a close, I stole Bobbi and Tom away one final time... Golden hour is always worth waiting for.

The soft evening light wrapped itself beautifully around the gardens as we photographed them beneath a stunning wall of cascading wisteria before heading down towards the lake as the sun slowly began to set. Everything felt peaceful. After the excitement of the day, it gave them another chance to simply be together.

Those photographs are some of my favourites from the entire wedding. You can feel how in love they are.

My favourite weddings are always the one with couples who spend their day laughing with one another, soaking up every moment with the people they love and trusting me to document it all as it unfolds. Bobbi and Tom were exactly that.
